Polymer Shutters, also known as Ecowood, are made from a polymer foam. This is a solid, non-toxic, synthetic material. Being waterproof, Polymer Ecowood Shutters are ideal for humid areas such as bathrooms and kitchens, as this material is not affected by high moisture levels. They are also suitable for a number of other applications including laundries and outside balconies, and are an ideal choice for houses near lakes or rivers or in coastal areas.

The material is created by extruding polymer foam through specialised mouldings. Polymer Ecowood Shutters have aluminium reinforced blades and a fully concealed tilt mechanism.
