What are plantation shutters?
Plantation shutters are interior blinds traditionally made from broad slats of wood mounted in a solid frame.
The design promotes the free flow of air through a structure in a warm climate, while also creating shade to keep the interior of the structure cool. You may also hear them referred to as louvres or jalousies, and they come in a range of shapes and sizes to conform with variously-shaped windows and doors.

Standard IWF shutters are available in 13 contemporary white paint colours and 8 stain colours. However any colour from the standard Dulux “Specifier II” range is possible. There is almost always a colour that matches the colour of your windows, walls or furniture. Regardless of the colour you choose, we use a UV resistant paint with a Satin finish. If requested we can also use a Gloss finish.
In addition to the standard rectangular shape, IWF Shutters can also make shutters in a wide variety of special shapes.
With an accurate template we can make shutters to fit almost any opening.
